The Raiders fired Dennis Allen via phone

Tough, but understandable move by Raiders GM My Girlfriend From Junior Year.

The Raiders made the decision to fire Dennis Allen after a 0-4 start to the season. After a long trip back from an embarrassing defeat in London, owner Mark Davis called Allen into his office to -- nope, dude got axed over the phone:

There's no good way to be fired, but, man, via phone? Have the decency to do it to the guy's face, especially since he's gonna have to come into the office to clean up.

Like father like son: just as Al Davis fired Mike Shanahan and Lane Kiffin 4 games into season, Mark Davis has done same with Dennis Alllen.

At least Allen had it better than his predecessor at Oakland, Lane Kiffin, who got fired at USC at the damn airport on the way back from a drubbing.
