Fantasy owners don't need to worry about Fred Jackson's limited practice

The Bills are limiting Fred Jackson's practice reps this week. We break down the fantasy implications.

Buffalo Bills running back Fred Jackson was limited in practice on Thursday. It's his second straight day of limited practices, but Jackson is expected to be a full-go for Sunday's game against the New England Patriots.

Jackson suffered a minor ankle sprain in last week's win over the Detroit Lions, but stayed in the game and finished with 108 total yards on 18 touches. Jackson is still sharing time with C.J. Spiller, although the 33-year-old continues to outplay his younger counterpart. Spiller has the edge in touches, 75-68, while Jackson leads in total yards, 429-321.

Fantasy impact: Despite suffering the ankle injury, Jackson still saw more snaps (46) than Spiller (25). The coaches clearly favor him and he'll continue being a featured part of the offense as long as he's healthy. Jackson is a safe RB2 play against the Patriots' middling rush defense. Spiller can't be trusted on a weekly basis and can be left on fantasy benches in 12-team leagues.
