Thompkins is playing for the Raiders. Should fantasy owners give him a look this week?
Oakland Raiders receiver Kenbrell Thompkins is actually getting playing time these days. He was used as the No. 2 receiver on Sunday against the San Diego Chargers and pushed receiver James Jones to the bench. It's not clear if he will start against the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday.
Thompkins received multiple healthy scratches during his days with the New England Patriots, but he does have a 100-yard game on his résumé from last season. Plus, he caught four TDs, so he's capable in the red zone.
Thompkins did only play two snaps back in Week 10, so the big bump in touches in Week 11 did come as a surprise. Chances are they will likely go up because James Jones has been remarkably ineffective. Still, the Chiefs are just too good on defense and it's a short week, which generally leads to less production on offense.
Fantasy impact: If you want to stash him in deep leagues, it's not a bad idea. However, you won't want to use him this week.
