Fantasy start/sit advice, Week 12: Pierre Garcon

Washington's wide receiver has had a rough season. Can he turn it around in Week 12?

Washington wide receiver Pierre Garcon has had a hard time getting anything going this season. After leading the league in receptions last year, Garcon has caught only 43 passes for 464 yards and three touchdowns. This puts him on pace to finish the season with 69 receptions, a 39 percent reduction from last year. It's been an exceptional dry spell for Garcon. Most recently he totaled just 8 receptions for 68 yards and no touchdowns over the last three weeks. DeSean Jackson has emerged as the go-to guy in the new offense, which has left Garcon fighting for scraps.

Fantasy Impact: Garcon doesn't have a particularly tough matchup this week in the San Francisco 49ers. Their mediocre secondary gives up the 16th most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. Unfortunately, it's not enough to consider putting Garcon in starting lineups. He's a borderline WR3/4 play in standard in PPR formats.
