Manny Pacquiao vs. Chris Algieri live results: Round 2

A look at what happened in the second round of the bout between Manny Pacquiao and Chris Algieri.

Manny Pacquiao had a very good first round against Chris Algieri and came out in the second round looking to build on that.

Pacquiao was able to continue to build quite successfully and then caused some swelling around Algieri's eye. During the round, as Pacquiao came forward with a punch, it appeared that Algieri slipped on a wet logo in the corner as Pacquiao landed a punch. As he fell, the referee counted what looked like a slip as a knockdown, spotting Pacquiao another point on the cards.

Pacquiao's hand speed has been impressive through two rounds, and he landed a very hard right hand in the round that caught Algieri's attention.

Algieri did land his own right and was looking to work the jab, but he needs to be more dynamic offensively if he's going to find any rounds on these scorecards.
