Best in Show 2015: Miss P, the 15-inch Beagle, named top dog at Westminster

Miss P is just the second Beagle to win Best in Show at Westminster.

Miss P, the 15-inch Beagle from Canada, has won Best in Show honors at the 2015 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, which concluded on Tuesday. Miss P is the 139th Best in Show winner and follows 2014 recipient Sky, the Wire Fox Terrier.

Judge David Merriam selected Miss P, who won the Hound Group on Monday. Miss P entered the event with 19 Best in Show titles under her collar. She's just the second Beagle (after Uno in 2008) to win Best in Show at Westminster, and did so in what was her final show, according to the broadcast.

Charlie, the Skye Terrier, was chosen as the runner up over five other dogs. Swagger, the Old English Sheep Dog, received arguably the best crowd response of any dog up for Best in Show.

Rocket the Shih Tzu, Flame the Standard Poodle, Liz the English Springer Spaniel and Matisse the Portuguese Water Dog were the other finalists.
