Arizona looks to take a stranglehold of the NFC West with a road win at Seattle.
The Arizona Cardinals have opened up a comfortable lead in the NFC West thanks to a 6-0 SU and ATS record over their last six games. The Cardinals could secure that lead even further this Sunday with a road win against the NFC West rival Seattle Seahawks.
Arizona is a 6.5-point road underdog this Sunday, according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. Seattle's track record at home is well established, but Arizona has been playing too well on both sides of the ball to pass on a plus-6.5.
OddsShark Computer Prediction: Arizona 28.3, Seattle 26.7
Thrust into the starting role due to Carson Palmer tearing his ACL, Drew Stanton passed the test last week. Facing a hot Detroit Lions team with one of the NFL's best defenses, Stanton helped lead the Cardinals to a 14-6 win with 306 passing yards and two passing touchdowns. Arizona's stingy defense also put out another strong performance as the Cardinals improved to 9-1 SU and 8-2 ATS on the year. Arizona is 3-1 SU and ATS in its last four games as a road underdog.
The Cardinals visit the Seahawks at 4:05 p.m. ET on Sunday at CenturyLink Field.
The Seattle Seahawks are finding out the hard way this season that playing every game with a target on your back as the defending champions is no easy feat. Seattle entered last Sunday's game against Kansas City with a three-game win streak, but eventually had that streak snapped in a 24-20 loss. The loss bumped Seattle's record down to 6-4 SU and 4-6 ATS. The Seahawks are 12-2 ATS in their last 14 home games against NFC West opponents.
The UNDER is 5-1 the last six times Seattle has hosted Arizona and 5-0 in Seattle's last five home games against division rivals, according to the OddsShark NFL Database. Sunday's total is set at 42 points.
This should be a great game between two division rivals with top-notch defenses. Seattle needs the win more than Arizona and could definitely get it at home, but Arizona has been one of the league's most consistent teams this season and should at least keep the game close as a 6.5-point underdog.
