Fantasy football sit/start advice, Week 12: Anthony Fasano

Fasano will likely play on Thursday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Anthony Fasano is officially listed as questionable on the injury report for Thursday's game against the Oakland Raiders. Fasano is dealing with a knee injury that has caused him to miss time. The questionable designation is supposed to denote a 50-percent chance of playing, but most expect Fasano to hit the field.

Fasano hasn't been particularly good this season. He's fine as a blocker, but even though he's played in nine games this year, he has just 20 receptions for 173 yards and two touchdowns as the starting tight end. He's forcing Travis Kelce into limited snaps, which fantasy owners have been upset about, but it's not as though the Chiefs throw the ball very much either way.

Fantasy Impact: Fasano isn't a receiving tight end at this stage of his career, the Chiefs don't throw the ball very much and one of the very few things the Raiders can do is defend the pass with some degree of success. In other words, any fantasy owners hoping for some kind of resurgence from Fasano should just look elsewhere. It's not going to happen.
