Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 12: Dwayne Bowe

Dwayne Bowe hasn't put up big numbers this season, and he's not a safe bet to do so against the Raiders in Week 12, either.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe has been one of the top receivers in the league for some time, but he's struggled to put up big numbers thus far this season. Bowe, in his eighth season, hasn't eclipsed 100 yards yet in 2014, and also hasn't caught a single touchdown pass.

Obviously, Bowe is getting older and his level of play is declining, but it's not as though the Chiefs are known for their high-flying offense at this point. Quarterback Alex Smith simply doesn't put up big yardage. He had a good game in Week 11, and that good game still only saw him throw for 108 yards, a ridiculously small amount. Bowe caught two passes in that game, putting up 18 yards.

Fantasy Impact: Bowe's season high was in Week 10, when he caught eight passes for 93 yards against the Buffalo Bills. His season low was the 18 yards he managed against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 11. The Oakland Raiders are looming on Thursday, and while that likely means a win for the Chiefs, the Raiders are fairly decent against the pass. Bowe isn't much of a fantasy option this week.
