Jeremy Hill was quiet in his NFL debut Sunday, but the Bengals hope to give him more carries going forward. We break down the fantasy implications.
The Cincinnati Bengals didn't use much of running back Jeremy Hill in Week 1, but that looks to be changing soon. Offensive coordinator Hue Jackson says that he went up to Hill after the game and promised that the rookie "will be playing more going forward."
Hill's NFL debut was a quiet one, playing just 10 snaps against the Baltimore Ravens. He ended with four carries for 19 yards while Giovani Bernard handled most of the work. Bernard played 57 snaps and got 100 total yards on 20 touches.
Fantasy impact: The Bengals still envision Hill as their primary power back, but that didn't appear to be in the game plan on Sunday. He still has plenty of upside to offer fantasy owners and shouldn't be dropped just yet. Cincinnati gets the Atlanta Falcons in Week 2. If Jackson keeps his promise, we should have a better idea on how he will split up the carries between Bernard and Hill. Hang on to him.
