Federer, who struggled before battling back to beat Gael Monfils in the quarterfinals, barely put up a fight against the Croatian, who will now face Nishikori in an Open final unlike anything we've seen in almost a decade:

With Rafael Nadal absent, a Federer-Djokovic final seemed a foregone conclusion, but we'll be seeing something totally new Monday night in Flushing.
