The Buffalo Bills' first-round pick hasn't had the smoothest summer due to a rib injury sustained in preseason action. How will that affect him on Sunday? We break down the fantasy implications.
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins has a rib injury, but is listed as probable on the injury report for his NFL debut.
Watkins injured his ribs twice during the preseason and spent limited time in game action as a result. Despite that, as well as Head Coach Doug Marrone being mum on the subject of his availability, the Bills' rookie receiver practiced in full all week and will be set to run with the offense versus the Chicago Bears.
Fantasy Spin: It's difficult to expect much from rookie wide receivers, but an immediate breakout performance from a receiver with as much talent as Watkins would surprise no one. The Bills have their own problems to sort out on offense, but versus a leaky Bears defense, there is plenty of room to capitalize. Watkins remains a boom-or-bust option this week that would be better suited in lineups of deeper leagues.
