Spurs are apparently dead set on getting rid of Sandro -- the defensive midfielder is on the way to Queens Park Rangers for £10 million.
Two seasons ago, Sandro was looking like one of the top pure defensive midfielders in the Premier League. One catastrophic knee injury and a spell under 'I hate defensive midfielders' Tim Sherwood later and it looks like a man who used to look like Tottenham Hotspurs' most important player could be heading to Loftus Road and Queens Park Rangers.
The latest rumour has the Brazilian taking a medical ahead of a £10 million deal. On the face of things this makes a whole lot of sense for QPR and not for Spurs, but it's clear that Sandro's not in new manager Mauricio Pochettino's plans -- he's been using a central midfield of Nabil Bentaleb and Etienne Capoue -- and if Tottenham are probably better off making some money from the 25-year-old's sale than sticking him in the corner for sad toys and forgetting he exists.
QPR, of course, could be getting a very good player. If he bounces back completely from the injury, this could be an extremely important signing. Let's see if it pans out.
