Giovani Bernard was forced to leave the field in the waning minutes of a tight game against the Ravens.
Giovani Bernard is questionable to return after suffering a hip injury late in Sunday's game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Baltimore Ravens. He left the game after rushing for 45 yards and a score on 16 carries, and catching two passes for two yards.
It was a relatively quiet game for the speedster, but the Bengals could suffer without the threat of his versatility. Jeremy Hill will presumably take over as the Bengals' lead back, but he isn't the same home run threat as Bernard. He has managed just 18 yards on six carries thus far, and has three receptions for 22 yards.
The Bengals are currently in a nail biter with the Ravens, down 24-20 in the waning minutes of the fourth quarter. The game will have significant implications in the AFC North division race. Missing Bernard down the stretch could be a big blow to Cincinnati, which my need to put more pressure on an inconsistent Andy Dalton to produce.
