Little League World Series sensation Mo'Ne Davis will throw the ceremonial first pitch before Game 4 of the World Series between the Kansas City Royals and San Francisco Giants on Saturday night at AT&T Park in San Francisco, Major League Baseball announced.
Davis will be a part of MLB's pregame celebration of the 75th anniversary of Little League baseball, a ceremony that will also feature 2014 U.S. Little League World Series champion Jackie Robinson West out of Chicago.
Jackie Robinson West beat Davis' Taney team out of Philadelphia to reach the U.S. championship game in Willamsport. Along the way, the 13-year-old Davis took the country by storm with her 70 mph fastballs.
Davis was the first female pitcher to throw a shutout in the Little League World Series, and was the first Little League player to be featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated while still in Little League. Her jersey is featured at the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.
