The Royals are just making up ways to get outs at this point.
Because nothing that involves Norichika Aoki can ever be normal, what looked to be a standard flyout followed by a runner on second bluffing the tag-up to third turned into a 9-6-1-4 double play. After Aoki catches the ball, Brandon Belt bluffs to third drawing an errant throw.
After the mishandled throw, Belt starts back towards third, as the Royals had left it unattended. Their fielders quickly recovered, causing Belt to retreat back to second, but not before Yordano Venture (alertly backing up the play) could fire a throw to second, with Omar Infante applying an impressive tag.
The Giants walk away from the inning with a tie game, as Belt had doubled home Pablo Sandoval earlier in the innning, so all was not lost, but suffice it to say they're finding creative ways to give the Royals outs.
