The Royals are down 0-1 in the series, and will send the same lineup out for Game 2.
The Giants took Game 1 of the World Series behind Hunter Pence's bat and Madison Bumgarner's arm, and they'll try to go up 2-0 with Jake Peavy on the mound on Wednesday. The Royals couldn't take a series lead with James Shields in Game 1, so they'll turn to Yordano Ventura in their search for their first World Series victory since 1985 in Game 2.
It's another game of righty vs. righty, so the lineups look the same as they did a day ago. Michael Morse is still the designated hitter for the Giants so long as they have the option in an American League park, and Travis Ishikawa will take his spot in left field.

Peavy had never been to the World Series prior to 2013, but now he's in his second consecutive one. He's maybe at the point in his career where pitching in a tough AL park would be a problem, but Kauffman is pitcher-friendly, and the Royals had the worst offense in the American League. It's Peavy's chance to shine on the playoff stage and help erase his big game struggles of the past.
