An overly large monetary tip is always nice, but nothing is better than a ticket to the World Series.
A server at "Rock & Brews" restaurant in Jefferson County, Kansas, received a ticket to Game 1 of the World Series on Tuesday night as a tip from the wife of Kansas City Royals pitcher Wade Davis.
A restaurant employee told KMBC.com that the server was very excited about the ticket and rushed into the office to ask for the night off.
"He was pretty blown away, a little shocked. He came back int the office and said, 'do you guys mind if I have the night off?' And we looked at him, and he showed us the ticket he had in his hand"
Let this be a reminder to servers everywhere that you never know who's sitting at your table and you never know what act of kindness that might bestow upon you.
The server was given the night off to attend the game.
