Giants pitcher Tim Lincecum was not on the field for pregame introductions before Game 1 of the World Series on Tuesday night at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City.
Tim Lincecum has yet to pitch an inning in the postseason for the San Francisco Giants, but he remains on the roster for the World Series, as he was in each previous round of the playoffs. But during pregame introductions before Game 1 of the 2014 World Series, he was not seen on the field at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City.
Seems one player is missing during introductions: Lincecum.

It appears it was much ado about nothing, though.
Lincecum's agent, Rick Thurman says that the #SFGiants pitcher is fine. Lincecum was not part of pre-game introductions. In dugout now.

Still, for someone who might not pitch at all this series, it might have been nice to see Lincecum on the field at least once in the Fall Classic.
