Canada is cold. So cold that FOOTBALLS LITERALLY BREAK BECAUSE OF HOW COLD IT IS

The Edmonton Eskimos are just one game away from the 102nd Grey Cup -- after beating defending champion Saskatchewan on Sunday. That means the Eskimos have to play football even though it's November and they're in Edmonton, Alberta. How cold is it in November in Edmonton?

SO COLD THAT WHEN PUNTERS KICK THE BALL IN THE AIR AND IT CRASHES INTO THE GROUND, THE BALL BREAKS BECAUSE THE GROUND IS FROZEN AND THE BALL IS FROZEN AND THE LEATHER COVERING OF THE BALL JUST DECIDES "I'M DONE WITH THIS CRAP" AND BURSTS BECAUSE EVERYTHING IS COLD.

That tweet is from the Eskimos' equipment manager, who elaborated that it was -18 as the team practiced -- before you freak out, that's Celsius, so it's barely below zero degrees Fahrenheit. Which is still incredibly cold and terrifying.

Previously in CFL kicker woes: when the wind is so intense the ball stops traveling forward and dies.
