The ball doesn't take any crazy bounces. It's not a terrible pitch. There isn't some unwieldy spin on the ball. He's not being challenged or pushed. He simply manages to kick a simple square ball straight up in the air, which is really impressive if you think about it.
It is probably karma for wearing gloves with short sleeves.
