It now appears Andre Ellington is likely to sit against the Chargers Monday night. We break down the fantasy implications.

Arizona Cardinals running back Andre Ellington appears to be in serious jeopardy of not playing Monday night against the Chargers, according to Adam Schefter. "The vibe we're getting is negative," Schefter stated. Schefter also reported he "would be surprised to see him out there Monday night."

Ellington suffered a foot injury following a nasty fall during practice Thursday morning. Opting to forego immediate surgery, the Cardinals have kept his status for Monday night uncertain. With this news, however, it appears Arizona is currently leaning more towards starting Jonathan Dwyer or backup Stepfan Taylor.

Fantasy Impact: At least this came out sooner rather than later. With the recent news, it now appears safe to presume Plan B, whatever that may entail. If Dwyer were to start, he would be an immediate plug-and-play against a wary San Diego front seven and a must-own for Ellington owners. Stepfan Taylor should also receive a look in deeper leagues. If you have Ellington, your best bet might be to simply play your Sunday options.
