Jordan Reed will be on the field as the Washington Redskins face the Houston Texans. Fantasy owners can plug the tight end into their Week 1 lineup.

Jordan Reed is now active for Week 1, as Washington faces the Houston Texans on Sunday. Reed was listed as questionable as he dealt with a sprained thumb, but it appears as though he'll be a healthy contributor to Washington's offense afterall. Wide receiver Santana Moss will be inactive, which may preserve a few extra targets for Reed. Washington struggled a bit offensively in the preseason, but Reed will be crucial as they establish their identity in the regular season.

Fantasy impact: Reed owners likely drafted him to start him. He's a low-end TE1 that should be started. Pierre Garcon and DeSean Jackson will have their hands full with Houston's secondary, and Reed could be the beneficiary early and often. If you had another tight end in your lineup as a placeholder for Reed, it's time to get him back into your lineup. Week 1 isn't the best time to rock the boat with your roster.
