You don't care about Derek Jeter anymore, but look at this badass 'New Yorker' cover.
This isn't close to the first time baseball is the subject of the New Yorker's cover, and it won't be the last. But it's one of the cooler ones in recent memory:
Roger Angell’s farewell to Derek Jeter, accompanied by this week’s cover: http://t.co/6hwu4T8Q4U
— The New Yorker (@NewYorker) September 1, 2014
The cover is so regal, so classy. Which is the point. That was the whole stinking point, and it was executed deftly. It also comes with a short essay from Roger Angell, one of the greatest baseball writers ever. Well done, New Yorker.
That is just the classiest cover.
