Dallas has the best rushing attack in the NFL, led by the record-setting Murray.
Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray is enjoying a dream beginning to his season. Murray played well once again in Monday's defeat to Washington, rushing for over 100 yards for the eighth consecutive game to start the campaign, extending his own record after breaking Jim Brown's previous mark of six.
Murray's 141-yard effort on Monday night gives him a league-leading 1,054 on the season, putting him on pace for 2,108 yards. The single-season rushing record is currently held by Hall of Fame running back Eric Dickerson, who gained 2,105 in 1984 with the Los Angeles Rams. The closest back to Murray this season is the Houston Texans' Arian Foster, sitting on 766 yards.
Durability is a concern for Murray, as he has never been given more than 217 carries in a season, and is already at 206. Murray has 60 more carries than Foster midway through the year, who is second on the list in attempts.
