Matthew Stafford isn't going to have his weapons this week. Should fantasy owners still start him?
Quarterback Matthew Stafford is missing his buddy. Receiver Calvin Johnson hasn't been 100 percent for the whole month of October and it's led to some of Stafford's numbers to drop.
He hasn't thrown for more than three touchdowns in any game this season, hasn't topped 300 yards since Week 1, and hasn't put up a passer rating above 86 in any of his last three games. What's more, those three games were against some weaker defense in the New Orleans Saints, Minnesota Vikings and Buffalo Bills, who have a great front seven and a sub-par secondary.
This week, he gets another great matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. Megatron probably won't be active, so it's hard to get very excited about Stafford's chances for a big game. Plus, running back Reggie Bush won't be there to pad the passing stats on the short-yardage swing plays.
Fantasy impact: He's not a must-bench guy, but he's outside of the top 12 this week.
