Torrey Smith had a couple big touchdowns in Week 16. Should fantasy owners use him this week?
What a difference a week makes, right? In Weeks 14 and 15, Baltimore Ravens receiver Torrey Smith had a combined 16 yards and no scores. In Week 16, he broke loose for 59 yards and two scores against the Houston Texans.
Smith looks healthy for Week 17 against the Cleveland Browns. The Browns are the 13th-toughest matchup for fantasy receivers, but cornerback Joe Haden is not healthy and missed Week 16. Haden is listed as questionable for Sunday, so he could miss that game as well.
Smith struggled against the Browns back in Week 3, but that was when receiver Steve Smith was rolling. Before that aforementioned two-week cold spell, Smith was actually performing well as a strong WR2, so perhaps the slump was just due to the knee injury that kept him out of practice earlier this month.
Fantasy impact: Smith is good to go for this week as a mid-level WR2.
