He's probably joking about his new trick play, but we sincerely hope he's not.

With the marquee season opener against Wisconsin just three days away,it's still not clear who LSU will start at quarterback. Will it be the sophomore, Anthony Jennings? Will it be the freshman, Brandon Harris?

It probably doesn't matter a whole ton, in the grand scheme of things -- Les Miles has shown the ability to be successful regardless of who's playing QB, and he's said that both guys will play at least a little bit to start the season. However, every repoter has to ask who's going to start, and Miles is performing his duty of answering in the trolliest way possible:

I am pulling really, really hard for that trick play. Although it'd be better if they both dropped back in shotgun and the center hiked it to a different person every time.

Earlier, he'd said this:

QUESTION: "Do you know today who your starting quarterback is without saying who it is?"

MILES: "Correct."

QUESTION: "Do you know who it is?"

MILES: "Yes." (Pause.) "It's either going to be (laughter) one guy or the other."

Stay mad, Mad Hatter. We hope he never picks and comes up with increasingly silly sugestions every week.
