The Crimson TIde's top wideout -- and maybe the top wideout in the nation -- left Saturday's game with a left knee problem.

Alabama wide receiver Amari Cooper left Saturday's game against Western Carolina with an apparent knee injury. Cooper hurt his left knee in the first quarter, and limped off the field. After being examined by trainers on the sideline, he was taken to the locker room. Cooper returned later, but has not entered the game since the injury.

Cooper had caught three passes for 46 yards before the injury, including a 27-yard reception that set up Alabama's first score. He is widely considered one of the top receivers in college football, and has 87 caches for 1,303 yards and 11 touchdowns this season.

After some initial difficulty, Alabama has opened a 17-7 lead on Western Carolina early in the second quarter, and the top-ranked Crimson Tide will likely not need their star wideout to finish off the Catamounts.
