The new FBS record is 352 catches and counting.
The East Carolina Pirates have been one of the most exciting teams to watch in college football this season. Much of that has had to do with their high-flying passing offense, and wide receiver Justin Hardy has been one of the more thrilling players to watch.
The senior wideout leads a Pirates pass offense that ranks second in the nation in passing yards per game (368.3). Hardy entered the weekend with 80 catches for 1,002 yards and seven touchdowns this season. He had 346 career receptions and needed just four more against Tulane this week to become the all-time career receptions leader in FBS history, set by Oklahoma's Ryan Broyles in 2011.
That was easy enough for Hardy, who's caught at least four passes in every game this year and has averaged 8.9 catches per contest. He has six catches and counting so far, and it's not even halftime yet.
ECU leads Tulane 17-3 at halftime. Justin Hardy is now the FBS's all-time receptions leader. http://ift.tt/1xOkajo
