The No. 8 Rebels, already in trouble, might have to go the rest of the way with a freshman.

Ole Miss quarterback Bo Wallace left the second quarter of Saturday's game against Arkansas with an apparent ankle injury. Wallace suffered the injury while being sacked by Razorbacks defensive lineman Darius Philon. Wallace rolled his ankle and fumbled the ball. He left the field on his own power, but with a pronounced limp.

After an Arkansas three-and-out, the Mississippi offense returned to the field with freshman Ryan Buchanan under center. Television cameras showed Wallace walking to the team's locker room after the series was complete. He returned to the sideline minutes later and re-entered the game with less than than four minutes left in the first half with his ankle heavily taped. He missed two Ole Miss offensive series.

Arkansas has jumped on the Rebels early, building a 17-point lead in the first quarter. Wallace was 6/11 for 53 yards at the time of the injury.
