Neither Basel nor Porto have sprung any surprises with their team selections.
The teams are out for today's Champions League round of 16 first leg between Basel and Porto in Switzerland, and neither manager has sprung any surprises.
Paulo Sousa's hosts line up in a standard 4-2-3-1 formation, despite having toyed around with a rather more radical 3-4-3 earlier in the competition. His only notable selection is starting Taulant Xhaka at right-back over Philipp Degen, allowing Fabian Frei to come into the midfield.
Meanwhile for Porto, Iván Marcano and Maicon make up the central defensive pairing, with Dutch international Bruno Martins Indi made to settle for a place on the bench. Cristian Tello is given the nod over Ricardo Quaresma on the right wing.
FC Basel starting lineup (4-2-3-1): Tomáš Vaclík; Behrang Safari, Marek Suchý, Walter Samuel, Taulant Xhaka; Fabian Frei, Mohamed Elneny; Shkëlzen Gashi, Luca Zuffi, Derlis González; Marco Streller.
Porto starting lineup (4-3-3): Fabiano; Alex Sandro, Iván Marcano, Maicon, Danilo; Óliver Torres, Casemiro, Héctor Herrera; Yacine Brahimi, Jackson Martínez, Cristian Tello.
