Joey Iosefa out of Hawaii led the way for running backs in the bench press, putting up 30 reps of 225 pounds on Friday.

The top running back prospects around the nation arrived in Indianapolis with the wide receivers and quarterbacks on Wednesday and hit the weight room for the bench press on Friday. They'll find their way onto the field for drills and workouts on Saturday, but first we've got the bench press results.

Last year, Jerick McKinnon led all running backs by a wide margin with 32 reps. The next-highest was Bishop Sankey with 26 reps, while De'Anthony Thomas came in last with just eight reps. This year, the top player was Joey Iosefa out of Hawaii, who put up 30 reps. Like last year, the next-highest player had 26 teps (Michael Dyer of Louisville). The lower any player who participated put up was 11 reps (Javorius Allen of USC, Marcus Murray of Missouri).

Putting up 225 pounds as many times as possible is the setup for the bench press at the NFL Combine. It's an exercise that means an awful lot for offensive and defensive linemen, but isn't necessarily the most important measure of ability for other positions. That said, scouts like having the information and most of the running backs took part this year.

Below, we've got full results for the running backs that took part on Friday:
