No. 4 Louisville and No. 7 Michigan State will lean on experience as they fight for a spot in the Final Four on Sunday afternoon.

The No. 4 Louisville Cardinals are 3-1 SU and 3-0-1 ATS in their last four games as an underdog in the NCAA Tournament. Despite entering Sunday's game with a higher seed, the Cardinals are the underdog going up against the No. 7 Michigan State Spartans at the Carrier Dome.

Louisville is a 2.5-point underdog in the Elite Eight at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The Cardinals have won two of their last three games as a betting underdog outright.

While the Cardinals had a solid regular season with a 25-8 SU record, many were calling the team's status as a contender into question as it entered March Madness with a 2-6 SU and 4-4 ATS record in its last eight games against ranked opponents. And scraping out a narrow 57-55 win over No. 13 UC Irvine in the Round of 64 didn't do much for Louisville's image.

However, all of a sudden, with back-to-back double-digit wins over Northern Iowa and NC State, Louisville is playing its best basketball of the season and looking like a legitimate contender. The Cardinals are 17-8-1 ATS in 26 games as an underdog since 2011.

Michigan State erased an early deficit against Oklahoma to scratch out a 62-58 win on Friday. With the win, the Spartans improved to 3-0 SU and ATS in tournament play and 11-3 SU and 10-4 ATS over their last 14 games. The Spartans have smothered opposing offenses throughout the tournament allowing only 58.3 points per game on defense. Michigan State is 6-2 SU and 5-2-1 ATS in eight trips to the Elite Eight since 1996.

Sunday's total is set at 128 points for the Spartans vs. Cardinals betting matchup. The UNDER is 10-4-1 over Louisville's last 15 games and 2-0 in Michigan State's last two.

The Spartans are 3-1 SU and ATS in their last four games against No. 4 seeds, but the one loss came to Louisville back in 2012. Despite being the lowest two seeds in the Elite Eight, the winner of this game won't be an easy out for anyone moving forward.
