Hyde FC can't use their trialists names, so when they live tweet friendlies they use the names of left wing revolutionaries and Hollywood actors.
It started on July 26th. First, heart breaking news that live tweeted a sixth division team's preseason match would be difficult because they couldn't use trialists' names. Then, an ingenious solution.
Can't tweet trialists real names today, so they shall all be named after left-wing revolutionaries. #DasKapital

Problem solved. Go get 'em, Lenin, Castro and crew.
Hyde: Thewlis, Brizell, Fidel Castro, Vladimir Lenin, Karl Marx, Leon Trotsky, Hughes, Maximilien de Robespierre, Thurston, Tony Benn, Tames

Hyde subs: Day, Friedrich Engels, Mahatma Ghandi, Andreas Baader, Che Guevara, Aneurin Bevan, Tony Blair...

But the real key was the commitment to the cause. This wasn't just a matter of picking up some names. It was about the full, immersive experience.

Tony Benn looking dangerous for Hyde. Some might even say the most dangerous man in Britain...

Fidel Castro is dictating play today. 1-0 to Hyde, 60mins gone.

Tony Blair keeps drifting out to the right wing. To be expected I suppose.

It was a good time, but that was it. One match, one schtick and the end. Except not.
Four days later, they had another friendly, and more trialists. Once again, they couldn't use their names so they did what any sensible club would do -- they named the trialists after Hollywood actors.

Well maybe not all Hollywood. Some are San Fernando Valley.
Ron Jeremy is the first player to have a shot inside the box no surprise there.

And then it became a quote-off.
Roy Schneider up against a big defender think he's "Gonna need a bigger boat"

Corner to Hyde Patrick Swayze shouts for someone else to take it "Nobody puts baby on corners"
— Hyde FC Official (@hydefclive) July 29, 2014
Nice feet by Austin Powers "Oh groovy baby"
— Hyde FC Official (@hydefclive) July 29, 2014
Sylvester Stallone shouting for the ball "Yo Adrian

Bad challenge on Clark Gable but "Frankly dear he doesn't give a damn"

The revolutionaries got a win on penalties, but it all went wrong for the actors as Burnley triumphed, 3-2. Most importantly, it happened, and Hyde FC was relevant, if only for five minutes of Internet fame (that is equal to 6.2 seconds in real time).
