A good way to measure pitcher popularity is to see how big of a ticket bump (or resale bump) you see when the ace of the team is scheduled to pitch. Thankfully, there's a chart for this!

The most shocking revelation? That Mariners ticket sales don't go up by at least 400 percent when King Felix is pitching. Gotta think the Samardzija boost is more "Cubs" than "Athletics" also. And while you might think Kershaw is a little low, people really do go to games at the 50,000-seat Dodger Stadium all the time. They just show up in the third and leave in the seventh.
