TCU sets out to prove that the playoff committee made a mistake with a big win over Ole Miss in the Peach Bowl.

The Mississippi Rebels are 9-1 straight-up and 8-1-1 against the spread in their last 10 bowl game appearances. The Rebels are set to take on the TCU Horned Frogs in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl at 12:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday at the Georgia Dome.

Mississippi is a 3-point underdog against TCU, according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com . This should be a great game, but TCU's explosive offense should be able to come up with a few more big plays to lead the Horned Frogs to a victory and cover.

OddsShark Computer Prediction : Mississippi 26.5, TCU 34.6

It ended up being a roller coaster of a season for Ole Miss. After starting the year off 7-0 SU and ATS and being in the heart of the playoff conversation, the Rebels went just 1-3 SU and 0-4 ATS to fall out of contention for the playoffs and the SEC title. But in its final game of the regular season, Ole Miss came through with a 31-17 win over Mississippi State to spoil its rival's season and build some momentum heading into the postseason.

The Horned Frogs were consistently strong all season long, putting together a 11-1 SU and 10-2 ATS season including a 10-0 SU and 8-2 ATS record when favored. Trevone Boykin emerged as one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the country with 3,714 passing yards and 30 passing touchdowns to go along with 642 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns. TCU is 3-2 SU over its last five bowl games but 0-5 ATS over that stretch.

The Peach Bowl total is set at 56.5 points at the sportsbooks. The UNDER is 12-3 over Mississippi's last 15 games overall according to the OddsShark College Football Database .

Ole Miss finished the year with the best scoring defense in the country, allowing only 13.8 points per game. TCU had the second-best scoring offense in the country, averaging 46.8 points per game. This should be a fantastic strength vs. strength matchup that sets the tone for a good game in the Peach Bowl. But with the stronger offense and the more reliable quarterback, TCU should edge out a win and cover at -3.
