Yeah, Zach LaVine cursed when he got drafted. No, he didn't mean it like that, and he thinks he made a bad impression.

It sure looked like Zach LaVine said "fuck me" after getting drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves, which is generally something people say when they're upset:

LaVine saying that led to social media uproar, because, well, "LOL TIMBERWOLVES." However, there were questions: did he really say that, or did it just look like he said that? If he said that, could he have just meant it as an expression of relief, or disbelief?

LaVine met with the Minnesota press today and acknowledged that, yes, he did say that, but not because he's furious about being on the Wolves:

"When my name got called, I lost it. I put my head down, thanked God, and from there, I just lost it. I'm a very emotional person. I didn't mean anything, any disrespect, I'm the most excited person. It was almost in disbelief that I said that. I felt bad, because that's not the best first impression to give an organization."

Watch the whole video at the Star-Tribune website. LaVine sounds like a good kid who said the first thing that popped into his head during the biggest moment of his life. We should all be grateful dozens of cameras are not on us at the biggest moments of our lives, because goodness knows this would happen to us, too.
