Arsenal have completed the signing of defender Calum Chambers from Southampton. The teenage right-back is believed to have set the Gunners back around £16 million, with the news broken by the Saints on Twitter:
We can confirm that @CalumChambers95 has joined @Arsenal for an undisclosed fee. #saintsfc

He is the Gunners' second right-back signing of the summer, with Mathieu Debuchy having already arrived from Newcastle United to fill the defensive gap left by the departed Bacary Sagna. However, at 29 years old, the Frenchman is considerably more experienced than Chambers, who is more of a long-term purchase.
Chambers is Arsenal's fourth summer signing, after the arrivals of Debuchy, Barcelona winger Alexis Sánchez and Nice goalkeeper David Ospina.
Meanwhile, he's Southampton's fifth transfer window departure, after Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana and Dejan Lovren all joined Liverpool, and Luke Shaw left for Manchester United. The Saints' new boss Ronald Koeman certainly has a job on his hands with a completely revamped squad this season.
