The third-round rookie is drawing rave reviews from his coaches and could see a significant role in 2014. We break down the fantasy implications.
Arizona Cardinals wide receiver John Brown is quickly jumping up fantasy boards. A third-round pick out of tiny Pittsburg State, Brown is catching attention with an impressive August -- through three preseason games, he has 10 catches for 165 yards and a touchdown.
Brown seems to have already won the No. 3 receiver role behind Larry Fitzgerald and Michael Floyd, and head coach Bruce Arians has big plans for the rookie, saying he could end up playing around 60 percent of the team's snaps.
Fantasy impact: Given Arians' love for the passing game and three-receiver sets, Brown should see plenty of playing time if he continues to produce on the field. Drawing T.Y. Hilton comparisons, Brown is one of the deepest sleepers left in fantasy, with no ADP as of this writing. The Cardinals finish up their preseason against the San Diego Chargers on Thursday night, and if Brown has another big game he won't be a sleeper for much longer. He is the ultimate "buy low" prospect.
