The CFL's newest Ottawa franchise scored their first touchdown at home on a 3rd down pooch punt.
The Ottawa Redblacks scored their first ever CFL touchdown at home on a 3rd down pooch punt play.
After falling behind 32-0 against the Saskatchewan Roughriders, the Redblacks executed a pooch punt that was recovered by Dobson Collins in the end zone for an Ottawa touchdown. CFL rules state that as long as a player is behind the kicker when the ball is kicked, they can legally recover the ball without it touching a player on the opposing team.
It's the first time this type of play has happened in the CFL since 1989.
