Hot on the heels of CD Lugo's awesome/awful octopus and beer kit announcement last weekend, Spanish Segunda División B (third division) Group 1 side Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa have unveiled their own incredible/terrible new kit for the upcoming season. If you thought that Lugo's were bad, wait until you see the ones that La Cultu have on offer.

For 2014, Cultural have unveiled a striking, classy number that fans will be able to wear out on the town without people thinking you're too sartorially challenged. The new kit is manufactured by Hummel and is designed to look like a tuxedo with a bow tie and all! "Tuxedo" is, of course, used very loosely here and it looks like the outfit you'd wear to the opera in the same way that a blue shirt with Superman's logo on the chest turns you into the Man of Steel himself.

Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa aren't doing it all for fun and games though, as this is a calculated marketing move from the club. They have spent a very large part of their history in the Segunda División B, yo-yoing between the second and third tiers with the occasional dip into the fourth division, the most recent of which happened in 2012/13.

La Cultu say that they want to be better known in the football world and have made the shirt available to obtain more resources (read: dollar dollar bills, or in this case Euros) by attracting new partners and members to the stadium. Sure, people will talk about the world's classiest kit for a little bit but whether or not it will have a lasting effect remains to be seen.

We'll see if any other clubs decide to get in on this trend and ride Cultural's coattails to the next so bad it's really awful but kind of funny kit design.
