Modern football is all about visibility be it the play on the field or the gear that makes it possible. The World Cup was a perfect example of that as the major brands in the sport all vied for the public's attention with boots that came in unbelievably bright colors or with patterns that attempted to provide a totally different look.
While there is nothing wrong with bright, colorful footwear, sometimes the classic-looking black boot is a breath of fresh air. While they unfortunately won't be Nike's primary colorway for the upcoming club season, the Swoosh has unveiled a new pack of boots that one would hope to see a lot of in the coming months.
We got a preview of the brand new Stealth Pack back in April when Nike unveiled the Mercurial Superfly IV. The boot's primary colorway was a vibrant Hyper Punch but a stark black version with outlined Swoosh was also shown off. The fantastic-looking boot features a Hyper Punch accent around the collar but apart from that, it is almost entirely black.
Alongside the new Superfly is a blackout Magista Obra boot that again features the outline swoosh but with a bright green accent piece around the collar and subtle green glow in the transparent studs.
The Tiempo boot, unlike most of the colorways in this generation of the boot, is solid black with the white-stroked swoosh on both sides of the foot. Like the Magista, it features green accents around the color and throughout the sockliner. The boot's name, which runs up the heel, is also in green.
Finally, there is the Hypervenom, which shares colors with the Mercurial range. The NikeSkin upper is entirely black save for the oversized white outline Swoosh that emanates from the instep and stretches across the toes. Like the Mercuria, the sockliner is also Hyper Punch while the studs and outsole are flat black.
The Stealth Pack extends throughout Nike's modern soccer range and isn't limited to the top-of-the-line boots. Those that don't want to splash the cash for the flagships will be able to get the look in take-down versions like the Hypervenom Phelon, Magista Opus, Mercurial Victory, and Tiempo Genio, among many other options.
