Sergio Garcia opened the 2014 British Open as one of the top players without a major championship on his resume. He got off to a good start in changing that, notching birdies on three of his first five holes. He make the turn at 3-under, near the top of the leaderboard. Things can -- and have -- unraveled quickly for Garcia in majors before, so a bogey at No. 10 created a moment of pause.
A chip in for birdie is a pretty decent way to follow a bogey, however, and that's exactly what Garcia did.
File this one away for the next four days. If Garcia is in contention, shots like this might be the thing that gets him over the hump in a major.
