The Edmonton blue liner must be ready for this year to end.
Justin Schultz has received a lot of criticism during his time in Edmonton -- most of which is well-founded -- and though he's had a few impressive moments of late, Wednesday's performance in Anaheim quickly became one to forget.
Halfway through the first period, Schultz attempted to corral the puck behind his own net, but he over-skated and turned it over. Ducks forward Jakob Silfverberg then gained possession and fed a pass to Nate Thompson, who beat Ben Scrivens to put the Oilers in a 0-2 hole.
