Parker is back on the bench but hasn't returned to the court after an apparent ankle injury.

San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker left the team's opening playoff game against the Los Angeles Clippers after suffering an apparent ankle injury in the first quarter Sunday night. He briefly returned to the game after the injury occurred but later headed to the locker room and was replaced by Cory Joseph.

He's since returned to the bench in uniform but hasn't returned to the court yet.

Parker appeared to tweak his left ankle while defending a Blake Griffin drive in the paint early in Game 1 at Staples Center. He only left for a few seconds of gametime before returning following a timeout break, but lasted just a few minutes before heading to the locker room.

In eight minutes of first-quarter action, Parker recorded one assist and shot 0-of-2 from the field.

Parker played in 68 games for the Spurs during the regular season. The six-time All-Star averaged 14.4 points and 4.9 assists in 28.7 minutes per game. Each of those numbers was his lowest in over a decade, though that's partially because Kawhi Leonard has taken over as the team's star leader now.
