Germany and Algeria have put on a show in Porto Alegre on Monday night, but they haven't produced a goal. Manuel Neuer and Rais M'Bohli have been spectacular, and they head to extra time tied up at 0-0.

The score isn't indicative of what's happened in this game at all. It's been incredibly exciting and wide-open, with neither midfield doing a very good job of shielding their defense or keeping the ball. It's been insanely fast-paced with lots of near-misses and forced saves.

Interesting notes from this one: Neuer has touched the ball outside of his own box about 20 times, and half of those were on crazy rush-outs to clean up after his defenders, who run like ducks. They've been mostly really effective. Also, Germany tried a trick set piece where Thomas Müller fell on purpose to distract Algeria and it didn't work at all. And lastly, Algeria still have two subs, while Germany have one, and only made the second because of an injury. Both coaches seem to have been planning for extra time for a while.
