Patrick’s No. 10 car will be pink for the majority of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Supporting a cause very personal, Danica Patrick's customary neon green paint scheme will have a different look later this month.

The design on Patrick's No. 10 car will incorporate pink in three races in October to raise awareness and money for the fight against breast cancer. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Additionally, as part of sponsor GoDaddy's "Put the Brakes on Breast Cancer" campaign, Patrick's car will feature the names of people impacted by the disease for the Oct. 26 race at Martinsville Speedway. Patrick utilized a similar scheme a year ago.

"My friend had a double mastectomy as a pre-emptive strike because she actually tested positive for the breast cancer gene," Patrick said. "She went through everything and hopefully avoided it, but it hit close to home.

"I think far too many people know someone affected by this disease. We wanted to do something a little different this year, something to honor people who have fought the disease, and we wanted to do it in a way that might help drive donations."

Anyone who donates $10 or more to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) online by noon ET Thursday can be part of the campaign. To participate, visit GoDaddy.com/Donate.

In addition to the pink livery on her car, Patrick will wear a pink firesuit for the races at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Talladega Superspeedway and Martinsville.
