Graham's shoulder still limited him in practice, but he'll play. We break down the fantasy implications.
New Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham is active against the Carolina Panthers. He has been dealing with a shoulder injury for about a month and is not expected to be limited.
Graham's snaps are still not quite where they need to be for him to be the monster we all have come to know and love. He played just 26.5 snaps per game on passing plays in his last two games, which is down from the 31 from last season. That might not sound like a lot, but it is when you think about how often he is targeted.
Graham carved up the Panthers in both games last season, totaling three scores, 11 catches and 131 receiving yards. While they have been the seventh-toughest defense against tight ends, Graham is more like a receiver. The Panthers have been one of the worst defenses against receivers and that bodes well for him with the Green Bay Packers, Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens specifically all destroying Carolina. For what it's worth, all of those games came on the road for the Panthers.
Fantasy impact: You're obviously starting him today and hopefully quarterback Drew Brees can get it going on the road.
