RGIII got a full practice Wednesday and appears to be on track for Week 9. We break down the fantasy implications.
Washington quarterback Robert Griffin III was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. It's his first full practice since dislocating his ankle in Week 2.
Head coach Jay Gruden said that Griffin and Colt McCoy will split first-team reps this week. He has yet to name a starter for Sunday's Week 9 games against the Minnesota Vikings. McCoy got the nod in Week 8 after a disappointing run of play from No. 2 Kirk Cousins. He performed admirably in Washington's overtime win over the Dallas Cowboys, throwing for 299 yards on 25 of 30 passing, with an interception and a rushing touchdown.
Fantasy impact: The full practice is an encouraging sign, but Griffin is not completely out of the woods just yet. With Washington's bye coming up in Week 10, it's an outside possibility that the team will hold Griffin out for at least one more game. McCoy is not a sexy fantasy option, but with six teams on bye he's at least on the QB2 radar this week. Griffin should be owned in way more fantasy leagues than he is currently (37 percent on Yahoo!).
